Excitement. Adrenalin and Tequila – what more could one want?

Being a huge fan of Nic Cage and the original film as well, I had my fingers crossed as I walked into the screening. Last time around Ben Gates and co stole; well technically borrowed The Declaration of Independence!

This time Benjamin Franklin Gates has got himself into trouble, again. In an attempt to clear the name of his ancestor from being involved in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln he winds up in Paris, London (the Queen’s personal study, no less) and even “kidnapping” the President of The U.S.A.

“Of course someone is after the treasure… it’s the axiom of treasure hunting!”

The good news: It’s smarter, sleeker and sexier. Fast paced action throughout, with smart-ass quips and banter along the way. (Dame) Helen Mirren is delightful addition to the original cast and would you believe that on the day she was invited to meet Queen Elizabeth II she declined due to filming this film! Kruger is a lot more involved and is not just the girl for the sake of having one, this time around and Riley (Bartha) is entertaining as ever with his sarcastic wit and admiration of Gates.

The bad news: There is a new bad guy, and he isn’t played by Sean Bean!
